Everything You Need to Know
How Many People Can You Carry?
The USCG allows us to carry up to six passengers maximum, plus crew.
Are Children Allowed?
All of our scheduled cruises are for guests 21 years old and over.
Do You Operate in the Rain?
If steady rain is forecast, we may cancel the cruise. For passing showers or pop-up storms, we monitor conditions hour by hour and will notify you as soon as possible if we need to cancel.
We do cruise in light rain, mist, fog, and passing showers, so please dress appropriately. If a cancellation occurs, you will be offered a credit toward another trip. We make every effort to run your scheduled cruise.
What is Your Cancellation Policy?
Outside of 96 hours: If you cancel more than 96 hours before your cruise, we prefer to issue a credit for future use or try to rebook you on another cruise. Refunds are offered only as a last resort. The $2.50 Prepaid Booking / Administration fee per person is non-refundable.
Within 96 hours: Cancellations made within 96 hours will be credited or refunded only if your seats are re-booked. If they remain unsold, you forfeit all monies paid. No-Shows will not be refunded or rebooked.
Cruise cancellations by us: We reserve the right to cancel cruises due to weather, mechanical, safety, or behavioral issues. In such cases, we can issue a credit or attempt to rebook you; refunds will be given as a last resort. If a cruise is terminated before the halfway point due to weather, we may offer a partial credit.
Any behavioral or alcohol-related violations will not be refunded.
Can I Bring My Own Alcohol on Board?
No. Our state-issued liquor license prohibits bringing outside alcohol onboard.
What Should I Wear?
- Sensible shoes and shirts are required. NO HIGH HEELS OR STILETTOS PERMITTED! The dock ramp can be steep and slippery at high tide, and stilettos are not permitted on the ramp, dock, or our boats.
- Splash-over may occasionally get shoes slightly wet.
- Sunscreen and sunglasses are recommended.
- It’s usually cooler on the water, so please dress accordingly.
Are the Captain and Crew Trained?
Yes. All captains hold a valid USCG Captain’s License, are CPR certified, and enrolled in a drug-testing program. Life jackets are onboard for all passengers, along with a first aid kit and all safety equipment mandated by the US Coast Guard. We are fully licensed and insured, so your safety remains our top priority.
Should I Tip the Captain and Crew?
Yes. Gratuity is appreciated. Our crew works hard to ensure your trip is safe and enjoyable.
Is There a Restroom on Board?
Yes, there is a restroom on each vessel.
Can I Jump Off the Tiki Boats and Swim?
No. This is a one-strike rule. Anyone who attempts to jump will be immediately returned to the dock and banned from future cruises.
Drug and Smoke Policy
Passengers under the influence of alcohol or substances that impair judgment or safety will not be allowed to board and may be banned from future cruises.
We are a drug-free and smoke-free vessel:
- No vaping, smoking, marijuana, or illicit drug use on board, on the dock, or in the Salem Wharf area.
- Violations will result in immediate termination of the trip with no refund.
Please be courteous to the crew and other passengers.
Can I bring my dog?
While we love furry companions, Margo and Greta have made it very clear they prefer to remain the only four-legged VIPs allowed onboard. From time to time, our crew may also have their pups aboard as part of the Tiki Hut Boats family. All of our “Fur Mates” are current on vaccinations and preventative flea and tick medications to help keep everyone comfortable and safe on the water.
